Tutoring Opportunities for 2013
Applications are now being called for the positions of tutors for the following courses in 2013. Ideally applicants should be 4th year honours or postgraduate students, although other suitably qualified students will be considered.
The work entails a combination of some or all of the following: teaching in laboratory and tutorial classes, preparation, tutor training, tutors' meetings and general administration.
The hourly pay rate is currently $13.59 for undergraduates or $17.01 for 4th year honours students and graduates of a three-year or a four-year degree. A higher rate may apply to those with higher qualifications. The number of hours of employment per week depends on the requirements of the particular paper. Most papers require between 5 and 9 hours per week.
Prospective tutors should fill in an application form here by the 12th of December. Late applications may be considered in some circumstances.
