This paper focuses on the use of relational databases for multi-user information systems. Topics covered may include; the relational model of data; database management system (DBMS) concepts; SQL; database application programming; multi-user database issues; and physical database tuning. Students will become proficient in both the theoretical and practical issues associated with designing and implementing multi-user relational database systems as they relate to business and science.
