The Information Science Department has designated coordinators for key departmental activities. These people also serve as the contact person for external enquiries related to these activities.
Undergraduate Studies - Tony Bastin Roy Savarimuthu
- The Undergraduate Co-ordinator is the leading course advisor to undergraduate students in the Department, especially dealing with more complex issues of enrolment and course pathways. The Co-ordinator, among other things, also facilitates the processes involved in new course approvals and changes to our courses.
Postgraduate Co-ordinator - Jeremiah Deng
- The Post-Graduate Co-ordinator advises and facilitates the process of enrolment for all our new post-graduate students. They are also the convenor of the Post-Graduate Study Committee, and are responsible for providing all the information required to members for decisions needed in departmental approvals. The Co-ordinator is also, currently at least, on the School of Business's Post Graduate Advisory Group.
Academic Post Graduate Administrator - Holger Regenbrecht
- As opposed to the Post Graduate Co-ordinator role, this administrative position is more concerned with improving the post-graduate student's experience once they have begun their studies in the Department. In addition to arranging PhD presentations and social events the Administrator is someone for post-graduate students to seek advice from if they need to talk to an academic staff member other than their supervisors.
Research Co-ordinator - Peter Whigham
- This position is responsible for coordinating support for the preparation of research proposals from the Department, and for promoting good research practices.
Undergratuate Recruitment and Promotion - Grant Dick
- This external liaison role oversees and coordinates Departmental efforts to engage with the wider community about our offerings for students.
