Alec Holt is the Director of the Health Informatics programme. His teaching and research expertise includes Health Informatics, Geographical Information Systems, Case-based Reasoning and Web 2.0 topics. He has taught Health Informatics in many countries with support from the World Health Organisation (WHO). He is currently involved with the Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development (GAID) championing ICT for developing countries (ICTD) and with research on a Health Research Council grant.
